TdS Gravel - get the trendy bike!
The Tour de Suisse «Gravel» makes a very positive impression. The fact that Tour de Suisse has consistently relocated the bike's cable ducts inside the frame contributes to the tidy look. The frame of the bike is also a feast for the eyes: At first glance, you think you're looking at a carbon bike. But it's made of aluminum. The welds are neatly sanded and the frame is painted to a high quality. It was designed in such a way that it can be equipped with mudguards and a luggage rack for use in everyday life or when traveling.
Properties
You should feel comfortable on this bike even on long journeys. Those who enjoy bikepacking adventures will find additional bidon holder eyelets on the bottom of the bottom bracket and on the side of the aluminum fork.
The next eye-catcher on the «Gravel» are the tires. From the factory, it rolls on semi-slick tires from WTB. Their treadless tread ensures low rolling resistance on asphalt. The tires are profiled on the edge, which means that they have good grip even on loose surfaces - gravel and gravel. Tour de Suisse has equipped its gravel model with 27.5-inch wheels from DT Swiss. If you want, you can also have 28-inch wheels installed.
The bike is driven by a gravel-specific gear system. The "GRX 800" from Shimano is installed. And the disc brakes also come from the “GRX 800” group. The basic version of the «Gravel» is designed for a 1x11 drive, but optionally also available with a 2x11 GRX gearshift. The aluminum fork can be replaced with a lighter carbon fork for a surcharge.
Driving behavior
The driving behavior on the road is similar to that of a classic randonneur bike. The bike is a lot of fun away from the road. The voluminous tires swallow uneven ground and small potholes. They also find a good grip on gravel.
The «Gravel» has proven to be a great and diverse bike. Anyone who values a wide range of uses as well as high-quality workmanship and equipment is well advised with this model.
