Schwalbe Marathon, forefather of touring tires
If we recommend a "normal" tire in the bike shop, then that is the marathon. High quality touring tire with «GreenGuard» puncture protection insert. This insert is made of highly elastic natural rubber and 3 mm thick, and offers above-average protection against broken glass, thorns and so on.
The marathon is an all-rounder, if you can't decide on a type, you never a bad decision to go with the marathon.
The profile is primarily designed for (paved) road use, but the strong profile also provides enough grip on dirt roads - even in the wet.
Anti Aging
The Marathon sidewall endures the typical overloads caused by insufficient air pressure for much longer. That may not sound like much, but it is significant, as this is one of the most common causes of a tire change.
Green all the way inside
Green are also the inner values. One third of the GreenGuard is made from recycled latex products
