Affordable Fixie bike for your everyday
Stable fixie / single speed for everyday use, designed by Loris Velos. Thanks to the high design quality, both optically and mechanically, the one-speed bike brings fun on every trip to the office. Selected components such as Novatec hubs and thick slick tires guarantee you reliable riding joy.
Thanks to the flip-flop hub, you can change the rear wheel from fixie (fixed-gear, chain rigidly connected to the rear wheel) to single speed (freewheel, crank can stand still while riding). By default, the bikes are sent as single speed, if you are riding fix, please write in the order comments.
Whether in Basel, Winterthur or Zurich - a single speed bike to fall in love with
The design goal for the CRIT Fixie Velos was to create an everyday bike that would perform reliably all year round, without major maintenance. For you to get the fixie bike that you have in mind, you can choose between three different handlebar options: Riser (straight handlebars), bullhorn or drop bars.
The Gear Ratio (the "speed") is designed with 48x17z for fast riding. If you have a lot of hills along the way and would prefer an easier transmission (especially for Zurich), you can also let us know.
CRIT: Fixie / Singlespeed designed by Loris Velos.
It took us 10 years to dare, gaine experience with fixies and singlespeed, sell and ride ourselves, repair and customize, advise and learn. A full decade of experience has gone into developing our CRITs, and we are proud of the result.
Novatec hubs, DNP freewheel, Wellgo pedals, thickslicks - we have learned over the years that there is no alternative to trusting well-known manufacturers, especially with highly strained fixies in daily use. This is one of the reasons why the CRIT fixie bikes roll so well, because only proven and rock-solid manufacturers were used. Speaking of manufacturers, our singlespeed are produced by Thumbike, a small factory in Hangzhou, China. It took Roman a few trade fair visits until we found a small manufacturer who reflected our quality and ethical standards - and we are very satisfied with our new partner.
What one can be read between the lines here: When in doubt, we have always opted for longevity versus weight. That's why we ended up on 10-11.3 kg (depending on size and handlebars) - for a fixie that is in the medium range, but just enough so that the riding experience is not impaired.
