Inexpensive youth mountain bike for the way to school
The Reid MTB Pro Disc 27.5 "is an inexpensive mountain bike that was primarily designed for road use. The bike also carries you safely through the forest (see video below ), but we recommend investing more for sporty ambitions.
A solid but basic composition
Even though REID markets the MTB Pro Disc internationally as an "entry-level bike for all ages", we recommend it in Pro Disc the context of the Swiss market more for young people / adolescents. The bike is stable and well made, but the riding experience is rather simple compared to the Swiss standard. This is mainly due to the Shimano Tourney 3x7-speed gearing, the completely straight handlebars and the entry-level Zoom suspension fork.
Is the MTB Pro Disc the right MTB for you?
If you are looking for a cheap bike that can sometimes take you along a forest path - and you do not have the expectations towards a 1000 franc bike - then go for it! The Pro Disc is an iexpensive but stable bike, our biggest drawback is the somewhat stale driving experience and perhaps the simple Shimano gearshift (which requires regular lubing in Swiss weather !!).
That may all sound almost negative, but if we couldn't stand behind the quality, we wouldn't sell it. The price-performance ratio is right, you just have to be aware that you don't buy a Ferrari for 400 francs.
Reid - The Velo value-for-money kings from Australia
Founded by James Reid in Melbourne Australia 2009, Reid Bikes has become an internationally successful mega-brand in just over 10 years developed with branches in over 20 countries. The reason Reid is so successful is the concept of eliminating so many unnecessary intermediate steps between factory and customer. This enables the Australians to keep prices low and to put the additional resources into design and innovation.
