Simple mountain bike with 29 "wheels
The Reid Xenon is the most affordable mountain bike in the Loris Velos range, which is designed and appropriately equipped for trails and forest excursions. It is an ideal bike if you're not constantly in the forest or are looking for an entry into the MTB world without investing in a 3000 francs downhill fully.
And while the Xenon is primarily optimized for forest paths, it can also be used as an uncomplicated everyday bike.
Brand components for guaranteed performance
The drive is a 27-speed gearshift with Shimano Acera derailleur, Suntour crankset and KMC chain. We would describe the gearshift feel as crisp, the gear ratio is large enough for climbing steep hills and racing down. The SR Suntour fork provides adequate suspension, the Kenda tires provide strong grip. Of course, the brake is particularly important on a mountain bike, here the xenon can be operated with a hydraulic disc brakes from Tektro guarantee strong performance.
Is the Xenon the right Mountainbike for you?
When looking for a MTB, you have to ask yourself a few questions - the most important of which is "For what am I really going to use it? ". For example, if you want to pick up cross-country downhill biking as a hobby, then you definitely need a full-suspension bike with 203mm brake discs. The Xenon is a so-called "hardtail" mountain bike, which means that there is no additional frame suspension above the bottom bracket in addition to the suspension fork. This shifts the area of use in the direction of dirt roads, forest paths and prepared trails - surfaces that are raw, but have no unpredictable, huge roots or stones in the way that can hit you directly in the tailbone. In short, the Xenon is not for the mad, but a great deal for adventurous and discovery-loving MTB beginners.
